International and Regional Seminar for Tax Management, Planning and Control

The meeting, which will last until this Wednesday, is being attended by delegates of tax administrations from seven countries

That is to say, we want to receive information from the primary sources”

The Technical Assistance Center for Central America, Panama and the Dominican Republic (CAPTAC-RD in Spanish), the World Bank and the General Office of Internal Revenue (DGII) of the DR, are holding its international regional seminar “Planning for Tax Control and Management for Change.”

At the opening ceremony of the seminar, the fourth of its kind, Deputy Secretary General of the Internal Revenue, Germania Montás Yapur, stressed the importance of these types of training activities and technology up dates where tax offices can contribute issues of common interest, the results of which enable participants to better build their organizations.

That is to say, we want to receive information from the primary sources”, pointed out Ms. Montás Yapur.

This international meeting has gathered delegates and representatives from tax administration offices in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.

Over the course of the three working days, they will have dealt with such practical issues as the Management of the Change Processes in the AA.TT and Tax Control Planning. These panels are being given by tax specialists Fernando Díaz Yubero, Raúl Junquera Varela of the World Bank and Oscar Vázquez of CAPTAC-RD.

The International Regional Technical Assistance seminar “Planning for Tax Control and Management for Change” began on Monday and will end on Wednesday in Santo Domingo´s Hotel V Centenario.
