ASONAHORES and Tourism Ministry Publish their “Directory of Hotels 2011-2012”

The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES in Spanish) in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism recently published their “Directory of Hotels 2011-2012.”

The Directory’s detailed list of how to contact the hotels is organized by region under specific color coding to simplify the search for visitors as they choose their desired vacation areas.

The objective of this free publication is to promote and inform citizens from other countries about lodging and hotels available in the Dominican Republic. Fifty thousand copies of the Directory are being distributed worldwide.

The Directory’s detailed list of how to contact the hotels is organized by region under specific color coding to simplify the search for visitors as they choose their desired vacation areas.

Thelma Martínez, Director of Marketing for ASONAHORES, said the Directory provides users with the opportunity to become familiar with various hotels and lodging as well as other important information such as the number of rooms, the facilities available on the premises and the type of entertainment visitors can expect to enjoy in each hotel.

It also contains a roadmap of the country’s major highways and information on tourism centers, airports, beaches, golf courses and ports on offer in the Dominican Republic.

Ms. Martínez added that this initiative contributes to the strengthening of tourism as one of the main economic activities of the DR while promoting ASONAHORES member hotels to potential clients all around the world.
