Israeli Agriculture Minister Visits the Dominican Republic November 1 & 2

Israeli Minister of Agriculture, Orit Noked, will visit the Dominican Republic on November 1 & 2 as part of a Central American tour which includes Costa Rica and Mexico

She will be accompanied by a group of Israeli business representatives from companies in the agricultural sector.

She will be accompanied by a group of Israeli business representatives from companies in the agricultural sector.

The reason for their tour is to discover new cooperation opportunities in the agriculture sector between Israel and the Dominican Republic within the larger framework and tradition of cooperation that already exists between the two countries in the area of development assistance and commerce.

During her stay in the DR, Minister Noked will have an official schedule that includes meetings with the Minister of Foreign Relations, Carlos Morales Troncoso; her counterpart, Agriculture Minister Salvador Jiménez and Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Ernesto Reyna Alcántara.

Minister Noked’s visit will also include a series of events and visits, the most important of which are a work and business meeting with the Council of Directors and members of the Agro-Business Group (JAD in Spanish) and a special event which will re-launch the activity of the Dominican-Israeli Chamber of Commerce.

Minister Orit Noked will also visit the Dominican Agricultural and Forestry Research Institute (IDIAF in Spanish) and a project by the Marketing, Refrigerators and Green House Program (PROMEFRIN) which functions under the auspices of the Agriculture Ministry.
