Dominicans and Hondurans Seek Stronger Commercial Relations President of the Dominican-Honduran Chamber of Commerce, Héctor Cerna, expressed an interest in increasing bilateral commercial relations between the Dominican Republic and Honduras. The president of the Dominican-Honduran Chamber of Commerce offered information at an event commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Chamber. The Dominican Republic as well as Honduras could substantially increase their volume of exported goods and services. To that end, they will hold several meetings in the coming months in both countries. Mr. Cerna announced that Honduran business people are looking for new commercial niches in which the Dominican Republic and its entrepreneurs could do good business. They also launched a webpage: www.cacodoho.com and congratulated the engineer, José Osvaldo Leger, recently appointed to the post of Dominican Ambassador in Honduras. Others at the activity included Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso; María Eugenia de Barrios, Honduran Ambassador in the Dominican Republic; Eddy Martínez Manzueta, director of the Dominican Import-Export Center; Manuel García Arévalo, Minister of Industry and Commerce. The list continues with the Director of the National Competitiveness Council, Andrés Vanderhorst; Federico Atún Battle, Administrator of the BNV; former Foreign Minister, Joaquín Ricardo; Horacio Álvarez former president and advisor to the Chamber of Commerce; agronomist Roberto Castillo, president of the Zamorano Association of the Dominican Republic; Luis de León, Deputy Minister of Education and representatives of the Dominican business community. | ||
