“Musa &Moda” Ends Successfully at the CineMAM

CineMAM, the official Museum of Modern Art’s film club, held athree-day dialogue and designers’ screening entitled “Musa &Moda”, at the MAM auditorium.

The Museum of Modern Art of the Dominican Republic is located on Avenida Pedro HenríquezUreña, Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte, behind the National Theatre, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

For its second presentation, CineMAM explored the subject of inspiration, focusingits attention on the world of fashion through special screenings of the creative processes and inspiration of three foreign designers, and a dialogue with Dominican designers.

The first day of the event there was a screening of the “ETRO Menswear” followed by a Q & A session with Dominican designer JoséJhan, and AiramToribio served as moderator.

Valentino “The Last Emperor” was screened the third and last day, followed by a questions and answers session with Dominican designer Luis Dominguez, and Luis Hidalgo was the moderator.

CineMAM, Film + Art, as it has been labeled, seeks to become an alternative audiovisual space, with a view toestablishing dialogue between artists and the public, and displaying unpublished materials by video, animation, and video and performance artists, among other topics.
