Tax Office is the Most Admired of Dominican Government Institutions Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic 2/3/2012
The study, “Most Admired Companies of 2011” was done by Read Research and Consulting Company and published by Market Magazine (Revista Mercado) in its January 2012 edition.
The survey, published in this economic magazine’s January 2012 edition, stated that the Internal Taxation Office was number one, followed by the Ministries of Finance, Tourism, Education and Labor.
The Office on Internal Taxation received national recognition as it was deemed to be the most credible and trusted institution in the Dominican Republic. It was listed as number one in a ranking of State Sector organizations titled, “Most Admired Companies of 2011.”
The survey, published in this economic magazine’s January 2012 edition, stated that the Internal Taxation Office was number one, followed by the Ministries of Finance, Tourism, Education and Labor.
The “Most Admired Companies of 2011” market research was done by the prestigious Read Research and Consulting Company which surveyed 760 people to find out which companies had earned the trust of the Dominican population throughout the past year.
The questions were divided into the following marketing areas: Communication and Technology, Finance, Imports and Industry, Services, Shops and Distributors, Automobile and Fuel, Construction, Energy, Health Services, Transportation, Tourism, Entertainment & Food Service, Education and State agencies.
Last year, for the third year in a row, the Office of Internal Taxation held one of the top spots in the survey done by this specialized magazine that analyzes the labor market of the Dominican Republic. In 2011, the Taxation Office (DGII in Spanish) won 8th place among the 50 best businesses operating in the DR, making it the only state institution to earn a position in the Top Ten of the of this survey.
On this occasion, the DGII was praised for its management of internal communication along with several private sector companies such as Cemex Dominicana, Dominican National Beer, Quala Dominicana, AES Dominicana, Central Romana Corporation, Odebrecht, Orange Dominicana, Philip Morris International and Universal Enterprises.
For three years now, the DGII has been praised by experts in Human Resources management who participated in this survey done by Marketing Magazine. In 2010, as the Internal Taxation Office won 7th place; in 2009, it came in 11th place.
