Culture participates in Cuba’s Book Fair
Havana, Cuba, 2/14/2012

The International Book Fair Cuba 2012 opened on Thursday under the slogan”Reading is growing,” and with the presence of the 14 island states, including the Dominican Republic, as guests of honor.

José Rafael Lantigua, the Dominican Culture Minister, chaired the eventtogether with the Cuban Minister of Culture, AbelPrieto, the Vice President of the Cuban State Council, EstebanLazo, Jamaica’s Minister of Culture, Lisa Hanna, and the President of the CubanBook Institute, Zuleika Romay, among others, during a well-attended ceremony that was held in the San Carlos de la Cabaña fairgrounds.
