Banco Agrícola Opens Cultural Hall with A Collective Exhibit of Paintings With the goal of expandingits contacts andrelationship with the community, BancoAgrícola(Agricultural Bank) of the Dominican Republic will open its firstCULTURAL HALLon Wednesday, March 21st, at 7pm.The exhibit, entitled“FRUTOS DE LA TIERRA,” will be showcased in the lobby of the Bank’s main building, located in the capital city, on the north side of the buildingoverlooking Independence Avenue. The “FRUTOS DE LA TIERRA” exhibit is being coordinated by renowned musician and cultural animator, Jorge Solano. The Bankwill open the first of two halls which have been designedas spaces forthe presentation ofvisual arts exhibitsandcultural activitiesrelated to agricultureand livestock, nature, agro-industrialization, ecologyand the environment, as well as scientific research inthefields of agriculture, food, and nutrition. The “FRUTOS DE LA TIERRA” exhibit is being coordinated by renowned musician and cultural animator, Jorge Solano. In all, 25 worksinvarious formatswill be exhibited. The exhibit will comprise 15recognizedDominican paintersfrom different generations and with differentstyles. It will present to the public works whosecontent andthemesrevolve aroundthe seductivebeauty ofthe fruitsof nature; the splendor ofits colors; its direct relationship with humanityas a source of food; the beauty of the landscape;and the serious ecologicalandenvironmental problems that affect humanity at present. Art creations by artists such asADA BALCÁCER, JESÚS DESANGLES, ENRIQUILLO RODRÍGUEZ AMIAMA, GUILLO PÉREZ, ANTONIO PRATTS VENTÓS, MIGUEL NÚÑEZ, CÁNDIDO BIDÓ, MARIANO SÁNCHEZ, RAMÓN SANDOVAL, JOEL GONELL, JOAQUÍN ROSARIO, MELANIO GUZMÁN, WILLY PÉREZ, CARLOS MARIO GRULLÓN, EDUARDO RODRÍGUEZ, JORGE CHECO, MINELLY RAMÍREZ, OSIRIS GÓMEZ, ÁNGEL VILLALONA, JUAN ANDUJAR, will be displayed in this first attemptto relating Banco Agrícola with art. PainoColladoAbreu, this initiative of the General Administrationand the Executive Boardof BancoAgrícolaattempts to infuse a new dynamic to the social relationship that exists between theBank and an audience that lovesagriculture, respects and valuesof nature, andalso recognizesthe farmer,the sower, the producer, and theagriculturalindustrial engineer as the fundamental pillarsfor feedingpeopleand animals.
