Ministry of Culture Bookshop Opens Space for Film Lovers The Ministry Culture has inaugurated a new cultural proposal, this time, for film lovers: the “Tinta y Luz” (Ink and Light) Film Forum will be held every two weeks at the Culture Bookshop. The first film to show at the Film Forum was the Italian, “Cinema Paradiso” by director Giuseppe Tornatore. Film critic, José Luis Sáez, attended as moderator. “Tinta y Luz” is a space for the projection of films followed by movie discussion groups, open for all to take part. At each of the gatherings, there will be a moderator from among the local film critics or other personalities related to the world of film. On Saturday, March 24 at 6 pm, there will be a screening of the American classic, “Taxi Driver” by Martin Scorsese. On this occasion, film critic Armando Almánzar Rodríguez will be the moderator. The Tinta y Luz Film Forum is a program being offered under the auspices of the Culture Bookshop and is coordinated by Edgar Sánchez. Screenings will be held every two weeks at the Culture Bookshop, which is located on Las Atarazanas St., no. 3 in the Colonial City. Entrance is free of charge. |
