Using 3-D technology, the film is more than a documentary about the life of the famous dancer and choreographer. The film is a look at her work and an investigation of Pina’s links to other dancers in her company, such as the effect she had on their careers, performances and styles. Through this sensual, visibly stunning trip, Wenders shows the viewers Pina’s best-known choreographies. Written, directed and produced by Wim Wenders, this experimental film will revolutionize the relationship between film and dance, not only because it is shot in 3-D but because of the originality of its proposal. It was filmed in urban and natural settings of Wuppertal, the German city where Pina lived for 35 years and home to the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. The film premieres on May 29, 2012 at the Caribbean Cinemas Acropolis at 9:00 pm. Advanced sale tickets cost $500 Dominican pesos. Tickets purchased at the door will cost $RD600 Dominican pesos.
