Italy and Dominican Republic Promoting Cultural Exchange Italian Deputy and president of the Commission for International Community Affairs, Gilberto Casciani, paid a courtesy call to Culture Minister, José Antonio Rodríguez, to talk about extending cultural relations between the Dominican-Italian communities in the Dominican Republic. “There will be an exhibition in Rome in two months where the main cultural activities of the Dominican Republic will be on display. This will result in a significant agreement between the two countries,” explained Mr. Castillo. Mr. Cascianiis in the DR as part of a delegation representing a group of Italian businesspeople interested in investing here and in the construction of a municipal market for the packaging and sale of products of mass consumption in Santo Domingo North.
