The Ministryof Labor will coordinate the training of people at the request of companies who wish to hire them The Ministry of Labor, through the Youth and Employment Program, has started training people in different fields at the request ofsome companies. In turn, thesecompanies have agreed to integrate the trainees into the labor market. This agreement resulted from the 15 job fairs that the National Employment Service (SENAE for its acronym in Spanish) has organized for the electricity sector with the objective of recruiting 2,100 youth across the country. The Minister of Labor, Maritza Hernández, explained that the Ministry began training manpower in order to place the trainees in the vacancies being offered by the companies. “This new category of service we are offeringwill guarantee that people who wish to be employed and do not have the required expertise or competenciesto ensure themselves a place in the workforce will be ensured a vacancy in the company that has requested the training. We coordinate the courses they need,”Hernández pointed out. The Minister spoke during the graduation ceremony for 23 people who were trained as assistant meter readers and electric fraud detection for the ATAL CARIBE and OPALO companies who will hire them as members of their Monte Plata brigade. This agreement resulted from the 15 job fairs that the National Employment Service (SENAE for its acronym in Spanish) has organized for the electricity sector with the objective of recruiting 2,100 youth across the country. The Ministry of Labor coordinated these training courses with the offices of the Senator for the Monte Plata Province, Charles Mariotti Tapia, as well as with the INFOTEP, among other institutions. | ||
