Ibero-American University’s Medical School License Renewed in Florida

This recognition represents great opportunities for UNIBE medical students, allowing them to continue their clinic and hospital rotations in the state of Florida.

The announcement was made by Dr. Julio Amado CastanosGuzmán, Rector ofUNIBE. Dr. Guzmán said the ratification was the result of the university’s academic excellence and high standards upheld by the School of Medicine as well as the role current students and graduates have played in Florida’s hospitals.

The Department of Education of the State of Florida renewed the recognition and license of Iberoamericana University’s (UNIBE) School of Medicine for the third straight year.

The license, issued by the Florida State Medical Education Committee, recognizes UNIBE Medical School’s level and standards for medical students giving them the opportunity to continue their rotations and training in Florida’s accredited health centers.

The Florida license represents great opportunities for UNIBE students as it enables them to carry out their complete clinical rotations in the hospitals, which would not have been possible without the backing and certification of quality from the Florida State Medical Education Committee.

The Iberoamericana University is the first and only institution in the Dominican Republic to receive this license, which demonstrates the highest standards of quality. UNIBEreceived the license for the first time in 2009.

UNIBE, which maintains important international relations benefitting its students and graduates, is signatory to agreements with more than 100 institutions in 24 countries.
