This theater piece, winner of the National Theater Prize of 2010 and directed by Giovanny Cruz, was developed, as the title suggests, in the sand dunes of Baní. Actors Yorlla Castillo, Johnnie Mercedes, NillenyDipton, Wilson Ureña, Amaurys Pérez, Cristela Gómez and Manuel Raposo have an impact on the viewing audience by pulling them into the magical and entertaining atmosphere. The play tells the story of a town created around the sand dunes. One day they discovered a spring and built a river on it. Then some years later, having enjoyed their precious river, it disappears, causing a feeling of desolation and poverty among the inhabitants of the town. After seven years, a man named Ivan is lost and ends up in the town. He is the same engineer who oversaw the construction of the river and said the river would go back to its source and return to them.
