Ministry of Culture Swears in a Commission for National Literacy Plan The Minister of Culture, José Antonio Rodríguez, swore in the members of a commission that will become part of the National Literacy Plan to be implemented by the Presidency of the Republic on January 7th of next year. The Ministry of Culture will have a an active and important participation in this project, providing human resources and facilities, with the aim of eradicating illiteracy in the country. The people selected for the Commission are Mirtha Olivares, coordinator for the Vice-Ministry of Creativity and Public Participation; Carlos Santos, coordinator for the Vice-Ministry of Institutional Development; Dustin Muñoz, Assistant Director-General of Fine Arts; Domingo de los Santos, Director of the National Specialized Artistic Training System; Rosa Elena Rodríguez, Director of Training and Capacitation, and María del Socorro Duque, technical assistant of the Ministry of Books and Reading. The Ministry of Culture will have a an active and important participation in this project, providing human resources and facilities, with the aim of eradicating illiteracy in the country. The Commission was sworn in during a meeting in the conference room in the office of José Antonio Rodríguez, who is also part of the National Council of Education. Carlos Salcedo, cabinet Director of the Ministry of Culture, was also present. |
