Ministry of Labor Signs Institutional Cooperation Agreement To Promote Employment The Ministry of Labor, through the Department of Employment, is giving the Dominican Textile Workers Association (ASOTEDOM in Spanish) access to the technological platform for employment intermediation, which will facilitate the selection and hiring of the 5,000 jobs generated by this sector. Minister of Labor Maritza Hernández oversaw the signing of the agreement along with the president of the Textile Workers Association, Felipe Fernández Isa. This commitment has been assumed by the Ministry of Labor through the signing of an agreement with ASOTEDOM, following President Danilo Medina´s program for the generation of 400,000 new jobs in the coming four years. Minister of Labor Maritza Hernández oversaw the signing of the agreement along with the president of the Textile Workers Association, Felipe Fernández Isa. Both institutions committed to implementing and distributing the research on labor markets, joining efforts to develop specific activities, projects and programs addressing the needs of labor markets in the textile sector. The agreement stipulates that the Ministry of Labor will establish a link connecting the Electronic Employment Bureau :www.empleateya.net with the main web site of ASOTEDOM, which will allow the 80 member companies of ASOTEDOM to have access to the platform for employment intermediation. |
