“Pride of My Land” Documentaries Showing at Cinematheque The “Pride of My Land” (Orgullo de mi Tierra) documentaries about Samaná, Barahona, Pedernales and La Vega, produced by the National Cost Center (CCN in Spanish) will be showing next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Dominican Cinematheque, in the Cultural Plaza, at 7:30 pm. “Discover Samaná” and “Discover Barahona-Pedernales” are showing on Tuesday, the 19th and on the 20th, “Discover La Vega” will be shown. These films look at the cultural and physical diversity of the Dominican Republic, with a focus on these four provinces, showing the solidarity, authenticity, joy and kindness of our people who are the main source of our wealth and pride. “Discover Samaná” and “Discover Barahona-Pedernales” are showing on Tuesday, the 19th and on the 20th, “Discover La Vega” will be shown. The Dominican Cinematheque, jointly with the Culture Ministry’s General Directorate of Film has developed a large program of Dominican films, which will be shown until the 26th of this month. As part of this film program, the public will have the opportunity to see, free of charge, the “Pride of My Land” documentary series, produced by Máximo Rodríguez. The films run from 20 to 45 minutes in length.
