The “Barroco Elysa” group invites you to the second presentation of the painting exhibit “La ManeraBarroca (The Baroque Way),” which will open on April 8, at 7:00 p.m.,at Calle Dr. Delgado, Esq. Francia-Biblioteca, Dominican Republic.

I have the pleasure of inviting you to the opening of the second exhibit by GrupoBarroco ELYSA, formed bySaturnino Cisneros and Roxanna Dourthe, which will take place in the exhibition galleries of the BibliotecaRepúblicaDominicana, located on Calle Dr. Delgado,esq.Francia, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Opening ceremony: April8, 2013, at 6.00 p.m.

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., without interruption, and Saturdays until 6:00 p.m.



Following the success of the first exhibition of the ELYSA group, which took place from August to September, 2011,at the Dominican-German cultural center,various voices requested that the exhibit becomes itinerant. The resulting collaborations have bear fruit in this second staging of the exhibit,with the new paintings bythe group and the support of the Children and Youth Library’s administration, which has made the exhibit galleriesavailable and provided the logistics to accommodate all parallel activities that enrich the exhibition.


The cooperation of the AnibalMonano Literary Foundation and its children’s poetry group with a poetry recital that is not to be missed.A motivational talk for young readers with young poet JimmiFeliz,the 2013 winner of the National Youth Award.From the Dominican film festivals we have the support of novel writer Orly Diane Rodríguez, who will lead the cine forumand the creative writing workshop.

We are confident that this exhibition will showcase thetriumph of the feelings the baroque way.
