During the event, the achievements of the renowned national artists in the cultural environment were not only recognized but also served to promote the artistic skills of the human talent that is available to the University. The opening ceremony was held in the Auditorium, and it was headed by the University Rector, Dr. Julio Amado Castaño Guzmán, who delivered the welcoming remarks. The master of ceremony was Architect Elmer González, Coordinator of the School of Architecture, while the closing and appreciation remarks were offered by Julia Virginia Pimentel, general coordinator of the Festival. As part of the Festival the winners of the V Literary Contest for UNIBE teachers and administrative staff received awards.
