The Globo Verde Dominicano Award Extends its Registration and Delivery Deadline at the Request of Contestants A s a result of the heavy rains in the Dominican Republic and after Tropical Storm Chantal passed over the island, many the participants of the II edition of the Globo Verde Dominicano Award have communicated to the offices of the GFDD asking for “a little more time” to finish up their audiovisual proposals. For this reason, we have decided to extend both the contest registration day as well as the deadline for turning in the required audiovisual material. Contestants can still enter their proposal by filling out the online application by Wednesday July 17th on our website: ( http://www.globoverdedominicano.org/inscripcion.php). The new deadline for handing in audiovisual material is being extended to July 30, 2013. We would like to remind contestants that the work sample you send as part of your application must be identified only with a pseudonym or an alias; it must include a sealed envelope containing the credits, the pseudonym and biographical information about the director. This information should be sent to the following address: Globo Verde Dominicano Award Contest We hope that these extra days will serve to motivate young filmmakers to enter the contest and for those who are already “on the job” to finish up and participate in the II edition of Globe Verde Dominicano Short Film and Public Service Announcement Competition, part of the DR Environmental Film Festival, sponsored by GFDD and FUNGLODE.
