Puerto Plata is preparing its second annual Discover Puerto Plata Tourism Fair, an initiative organized by the province’s Tourism Cluster with support from the hotel and tourism sector of the Northern Zone.

The event, to be held October 16-18 at the Hotel Be Live Grand Marienof the Costa Dorada complex, will host professionals from more than twenty countries who will have a chance to tour the Fair’s 49 booths about Dominican tourism areas.

International tourism operators, airlines, the best hotels and complementary offers will be available at this edition of the Fair at which Puerto Plata will be introduced as one of the major attractions of the Caribbean.

The Fair will be offering an attractive program for participants that will include keynote speeches, tourism packages, holiday specials among other such attractions.

Discover Puerto Plata MarketPlace, in addition to being a marketing event, will also be a platform for promoting natural, historical and cultural resources of Puerto Plata, also known as the Bride of the Atlantic.

So far delegations from Canada, the United States, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Chile, Brazil, Czech Republic, Russia, China, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Israel have confirmed their attendance.

Organizers of the event have said that they are also expecting a large number of national and internationalmedia to attend the Fair.
