Pavel Núñez Releases His CD “Cantor Urbano” The 2013 Emmy Award nominee, Pavel Núñez, releases his new album called “Cantor Urbano (Urban Singer),” on December 8, at 6:30 pm. As a posthumous tribute to Luís Dias, the CD contains his most emblematic songs. It is being released thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture and of Minister Mr. José Antonio Rodríguez. The release will take place at the Enriquillo Sánchez auditorium of the Ministry of Culture, under the coordination of the Vice Ministry of Creativity and Popular Participation, and the Directorate General of Free Schools. Cantor Urbano was recorded live by Pavel Núñez at the Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo, and contains songs from the concert and others from closed doors rehearsals, as well as an unreleased song called “Caminando Rumbo al Sol (Walking Towards the Sun).” Likewise, the Ministry of Culture will use this platform to introduce the Luís “Terror” Dias Guitar Schools, which aim to promote the use of that instrument by public school students who will learn to play it during regular classes. “The Luís Dias Guitar Schools are being launched as an effort by the Ministry of Culture to keep the Luís Terror Dias memory alive among the Dominicans,” said the Grammy-nominated Pavel Núñez. The tribute album features the following songs: “Los Barrios Calientes,” “Anaisa,” “Andresito Reina,” “Liborio,” “Ella me Vivía, “Marola,” “Los Placeres,” “Y yo Quiero Andar,” “Baile en la Calle,” “Rudy Nikel,” “Graciano Moreno,” “Ay Ombe,” “El Guardia del Arsenal,” and “Rumbo al Sol.”
