Rosa Tavárez retrospective exhibition “Territorios de la Pasión y la Memoria” (Territories of Passion and Memory) and the exhibit of “Ignacio Pinazo,” Spanish master of impressionism, are still open to the public until early February at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM).


Also open to the public, on the third floor, is the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art, where a selection of works by some of the most representative visual artists of Dominican art are on display; and in the basement, “El exilio en la Colección del MAM” (Exile in the MAM Collection) in on display.


The exhibition “Rosa Tavárez: Territories of Passion and Memory” is a retrospective that includes more than 200 works, including paintings, prints, drawings, and constructions, spanning five decades of intense and successful creative career.


The exhibit of “Ignacio Pinazo,” brings together 61 works in total, divided into 51 oil paintings and 10 drawings from the collection of the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) and the Pinazo House Museum.


The Museum of Modern Art of the Dominican Republic is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; it is located on Ave. Pedro Henríquez Ureña, Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte.
