She cited as major steps forward the renovations that the city’s Historic Downtown is undergoing, the amendment to Law 158-01 promoting tourist development, and the construction and startup of the cruise terminal of the Carnival, Amber Cove, in Maimon, later this year. For his part, Callender referred to the rich natural and cultural aspects of Sosúa and Cabarete, and, as an example, he announced the Multicultural Food Festival that takes place in Sosúa, which seeks to consolidate itself as the largest gathering of world flavors that takes place in the Northern region.
