Admission to the concert will be free for the public. On stage, Ocaña will show his handling of the guitar in its most traditional form, creating rhythmic elements that lead it to its most traditional form. “Metamorphosis” is a concert featuring the guitar in a process of evolution, bringing together a selection of original compositions and improvisations for the enjoyment of the public. During his performance, Ocaña’s objective is to lead the Dominican public through an emotional journey by means of sound, with the possibility of transporting the guitar using a musical style that is unique. Anthony Ocaña was born in the Dominican Republic in March of 1980. He has lived in Spain since 2002 and took the Spanish nationality in 2007. In 2012 the Ministry of Culture distinguished him as a Cultural Personality. Ocaña has a very special voice that brings together musical influences from the classical, contemporary, jazz, minimalist, and Caribbean and Latin American pop. As a songwriter he fuses a very open view of music, allowing him to cover a vast array of styles that go from the traditional to the modern guitar, thereby allowing him to take his music to important concert halls in the Americas and in Europe. > |
