Israeli Filmmaker Visits Community Technology Center of Villa Mella The Community Technology Center of Villa Mella (CTC VILLA MELLA), held a forum titled: “How to make a Good Short Film for Children” presented by renowned filmmaker and writer Itai Lev, where he shared his ideas, experiences and techniques with the attending journalists. The filmmaker will participate as a special guest in the 2014 Santo Domingo Children’s Festival, organized by the Vice President of the Republic, from July 24th to the 30th. The Director of “Little Heroes” highlighted the major developments in Dominican Film and the efforts carried out from the state to accomplish this daunting task. Itai Lev was the screenwriter of the short film “Hardonim” in 1995. In 2002 he carried out his second work “A Five Minutes Walk” presented at the Jerusalem Film Festival (won award as Best New Director). He also presented his third film “Giborim Ktanim” (Little Heroes) in 2006, which won the Best Film Award at the Zlin International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, and the Schlingel Film Festival in Germany. The panel was composed by: Diana Lozano, Pedro Santana,and Carlos Sánchez, in charge of the CTC and of the Radio; Sunilda Hernández, and Pedro Acosta, respectively. The event was broadcast live on radio CTC Villa Mella 89.5fm and through the Internet to the entire country.
