Retro Jazz Announces End of the Year Concert To close a very successful year on a high note, the Retro Jazz band is already preparing its last concert of 2014. The musical event will take place next Friday, December 12th, starting at 9 pm, at Escenario 360 of Galería 360. Renowned producer, arranger and bassist PengBian Sang, the Retro Jazz band leader, promises an evening worth remembering. “I am very excited about this concert. In a very short time, Escenario 360 has earned an important place as one of the most important concert halls in our country. For Retro Jazz, it is a challenge that we have gladly taken on, because our interest is to reach out to all kinds of audiences. Those who attend the concert will enjoy new pieces, as well as the songs that make up our two musical productions. The advantage interpreting them at the beat of jazz is that we never repeat them exactly the same way, there is always something new that arises on the fly”. The musical group has distinguished itself for presenting modern arrangements of some of the essential themes of the Dominican collection of lyrics to the beat of jazz. During the year that is ending, Retro Jazz won two nominations to the Soberano Awards, the most important artistic ceremony of the Dominican Republic, winning the statuette in the category “Album of the Year”. “In addition, during the month of May, we launched our second album in a concert whose attendance took us by surprise, as more than 7,000 people gathered at Plaza España to support us. After that, interest in the project has been on the rise, which demonstrates that the public is hungry for good music,” said Sang. Tickets are already on sale and have a cost per person of 3,000 pesos (VIP) and 2,500 (general public), if they are acquired prior to the concert. At the door, tickets will cost 3,200 pesos (VIP) and 2,700 pesos (general public). These prices include a Premium open bar. Event information: Press contact: |
