 | New Airplane Route Between Canada and Puerto Plata WestJet has begun commercial operations with two flights per week between Canada and Puerto Plata. WestJet, which has 69 Boeing 737 airplanes and a staff of 6,700 employees, began the new route last Friday with a promotion flight carrying 158 passengers, among them journalists, TV announcers, airline employees, travel agents and crew members.
