For the fourth consecutive year, the boutique hotel Casa Bonita Tropical Lodge of Barahona, Dominican Republic, has won the TripAdvisor website’s award for “Excellence 2015” for its quality of service to tourists worldwide.

TripAdvisor is a website that collects the opinions and comments from millions of tourists worldwide to the hospitality and quality of service they have received, and, for the fourth year in a row, CASA BONITA achieved a rating above 4.5 points.

This award follows the most recent recognition received from the prestigious US Conde Nast Traveler magazine, which selected it as the Best Hotel in the Caribbean and the Atlantic at the 2014 Readers’ Choice Awards.

It also follows the recognition received from the New York Times, which highlighted that CASA BONITA is a must-see in the province of Barahona. It was selected among 52 destinations around the world by the prestigious American newspaper.

Schiffino said that on the same property where CASA BONITA is located a real estate tourism project is under way, which includes expanding the hotel with 16 new ocean-view suites, private pool and all the amenities for which CASA BONITA is being recognized internationally. It has been approved by the Ministry of Tourism and it is intended to be a model of sustainable tourism development.

He said that the award is presented only to facilities that have accumulated the highest survey opinions from users around the world, which are collected through the TripAdvisor website.

He added that TripAdvisor collects comments from millions of tourists on destinations around the world, which is the reason why “we are grateful to our visitors for all this support so that CASA BONITA remains one of the most popular and important destinations in the Southern region of the Dominican Republic.”
