Culture Will Offer a Concert to Mark the Anniversary of the Birth of Dominican Maestro and Composer Juan Lockward The Ministry of Culture (MINC) will offer an unforgettable concert in posthumous tribute to Dominican composer and musician Juan Lockward. The concert is scheduled for July 24 at 7:00 pm, in the Central Park of Puerto Plata. Inventors, scientists, photographers, technicians, telegraph operators, radio broadcasters, videographers, and television producers of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, will be represented by agency staff. The anniversary program will begin with a formal ceremony at 10:00 am, and it will be attended by Indotel executives. Also, there will be educational, cultural and recreational activities for 60 families, the Fundarte children, students from the center’s surrounding area and the general public. Admission to all activities is complimentary. This communications and telecommunications celebration seeks to fulfill the directive of Indotel’s president, Gideon Santos, who has placed his organization at the service of the public as a way to democratize its cultural and technological vision, and to strengthen and disseminate communications and the arts in all their forms of expression. Visitors will enjoy a tour around the world of communications, a paint exhibit, video games and an info-communications hall, as well as a representation of historical figures in the museum and robotics halls, among other activities that will take place at the center that was founded on July 18, 2011.
