Opening of the Call to UNESCO’s Participation Program 2016-2017
Santo Domingo, January 27, 2016

The Dominican National Commission for UNESCO (CNDU for its acronym in Spanish), a unit of the Ministry of Culture, and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, announced the opening of the National Call for the presentation of project proposals to UNESCO’s Participation Program for the 2016-2017 biennium.

The program provides an opportunity for government institutions and civil society organizations to actively join the important work of UNESCO to contribute to capacity building in the member States, so as to enable them to effectively aim their efforts to achieving their major goals: gender equality, the eradication of poverty, the empowerment of youth for peace and sustainable development, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.
