Forty One Dominican Hotel Companies to Participate at Berlin’s ITB

A total of 41 hotel companies have confirmed their participation at the Dominican stand in the International Tourism Fair (ITB) in Berlin which will take place from March 4-9 in the German city. The Dominican Republic is the guest of honor this year.

This is the highest number of registered participants from the private tourism sector in recent years, according to a press release from the State Secretariat for Tourism.

This year, the attention of the other 180 participating countries at the ITB will be on the Dominican stand which covers an area of about 500 square meters. Some 5,000 journalists from around the world are expected to cover the event.

A Dominican delegation from the public and private sectors headed by Tourism Secretary Félix Jiménez will attend the Berlin Fair. The Dominican delegation is comprised of hotel companies from different parts of the country, business people, music producers, artists, artisans and craftspeople, chefs, news media, journalists specializing in economy and tourism and television commentators, among others.

The State Secretariat for Tourism (SECTUR), the National Association of Hotels and Restaurants (ASONSHORES), the Dominican Banco Popular, Cap, Cana, Brugal, the Dominican Center for Export and Investment (CEI-RD), Dominican Airports of the 21st Century (Aerodom), and the León Jiménez Group with its La Aurora brand will be joining their efforts together at the International Tourism Fair (ITB) in Berlin.
