“Teatro por un Tubo” to Open New Grupo Guyola Hall

Under theater directors Claudio Rivera and Viena González, artists such as Edmundo Poy, Maricarmen Rodríguez, Pascal Macariello, Isabel Spencer, María Ligia Grullón and Henry Mercedes will display their art work on February 28-29 and March 1 starting at 8:30 p.m. in the new hall, located at Arzobispo Portes, 205, in the Colonial Zone.

With this cultural festival, Guloya will celebrate its wonderful 17 years at the forefront of the national art scene as it inaugurates its new headquarters at Arzobispo Portes. “This new space gives us a hall large enough to hold 95 spectators while at the same time providing enough space to hold workshops as well as to set up a coffee shop and to enjoy a lovely patio where we can hold social events,” explained Claudio Rivera of Guloya.

The Theater Bonanza, will consist of performances, painting, music and contemporary dance all to be carried out as a gesture of cultural solidarity to welcome this new space onto the national art scene. This collective artistic effort will also include the participation of Lenin Paulino, Vicente Santos, Germán Venegas, Tomás Rubio, Dayme del Toro, Miguel Ramírez, Ricardo Toribio, Canek Denis, Judith Rodríguez, Indiana Brito, Mónica Volonteri, Francis Taylor, Dolly Padua and Palos and Gruesos.
