More than 500 young people supported by Children International took part in a walk to promote decent treatment for children. The activity was part of April’s observance as Prevention of Abuse Against Children month.

As a result, the children decided to organize this activity to raise consciousness about the mistreatment of children and to garner support for children’s rights in this country.

The young people marched with posters and slogans promoting children’s rights.

Children International had given these young people, whom the organization supports in Santo Domingo, US$20,000 with the idea that they learn how to adequately administer the funds.

As a result, the children decided to organize this activity to raise consciousness about the mistreatment of children and to garner support for children’s rights in this country.

The Walk began in Colón Park, crossed El Conde Street and ended up in Independence Park.

A floral arrangement with the colors of the Dominican flag was placed on the Altar of the Patria in honor of the Fathers of the Country.
