Caribbean Hotels and Tourism Association Elects a Dominican as Vice-President

The Caribbean Hotels and Tourism Association has elected Dominican hotelier Reyson Pimentel to fill the position of the organization´s Vice-President. Pimentel said he would work to capture new markets and to reactivate others where the organization has not done much work.

…he said that during his period as VP he will strengthen programs in the commercial area, technical training and human resources.

Pimentel, who is also the director for sales and marketing in the Caribbean region for the Hotetur y BlueBay Hotels & Resorts chain, said that during his period as VP he will strengthen programs in the commercial area, technical training and human resources.

The Caribbean Hotels and Tourism Association (CHTA) also elected Enrique de Marchena as president for the 2008-2010 period and Haydee Rainieri, vice-president of the Puntacana Group, as the fourth vice-president-elect.

Reyson Pimentel has accumulated years of experience in the Caribbean region, having worked in executive positions in companies such as Inter Clubs (Mexico) Casa de Campo, Sun Village Resorts, Coral Hotels & Resorts as well as owning his own consulting company, T&MG. While operating T&MG, he implemented successful marketing and promotion programs for Cap Cana, the television channel that specialized in TV Caribbean Traveling Network (CTN) as well as the Caribbean Lifestyle realty company.

Pimentel contributed to the Dominican Republican Capitol Foundation of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), over which he presided for three consecutive periods.
