With a road network that allows arrival to every touristic point and natural park in the country, the Dominican Republic offers its citizens and visitors the possibility of experiencing the country’s most remote landscapes in collective transportation or in rental cars.
Accredited bus companies offer services to the North, South, East and West of the country. Any type of transportation company also guarantees efficient services in different cities in the four latitudes. Additionally, Santo Domingo and Santiago maintain the Metropolitan Services Office of Buses (OMSA, for its acronym in Spanish).
The country’s main cities and terminal areas have offices where you can rent different types of vehicles.
Also, local air lines offer fast transport to different points of the country. Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata, La Romana, Punta Cana, Samaná, Barahona and Santiago are connected by airline routes that have been established by companies with great experience. You may make reservations for groups or individuals.
Helicopter services are one option among those offered by airline transportation. Business, tourism and emergency health trips can be made from every point of the country through this option. Emergency airline services offer planes as well as helicopters with specialized and experienced personnel.
In Santo Domingo there is the Metro system.
