The exhibit will run for a month. The organizers will issue awards to the participants in the bidimensional and tridimensional categories.
In the bidimensional category the judges will take into account drawings, engravings and paintings. In the tridimensional category, sculptures, arts and crafts, pottery and other related objects. The members of the jury are Lenin Paulino, cultural advisor; Mercedes Tejeda, plastic artist, and designer Ángela Soto.
Upcoming Projects
Mr. Cristóbal Justiniano, president of the theater’s Council of Directors, also mentioned some of the upcoming projects on the movie theater’s agenda, including: participation in the free Music Festival 2019, the country’s largest musical event, produced by the French Alliance of Santo Domingo. Another important project is to provide low-income children and youth with the opportunity to become familiar with the history and culture of Santo Domingo; a chance to become familiar with the solar system; and to enjoy a literary adventure with The Little Prince or Robinson Crusoe. All this through the 4D experience.
The anniversary celebration ended by calling on the local business sector, heads of academic centers, and upcoming summer camps to visit the 4D Cinema to enjoy a completely different movie experience.
Guests were invited to live the experience of the Cinema’s main attraction, The Battle of Santo Domingo, as well as the art exhibit.
The Battle of Santo Domingo tells the story of the attack on the city by the British pirate Sir Francis Drake in 1586, and depicts the city as it was at the time.
