Carlos Estévez’s “Diluvios Intimos” Showing at Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery The Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery of Contemporary Art presents Carlos Estévez’s most recent show, “Diluvios Íntimos.” This exhibition will be open to the public until July 21, 2012 at the Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery located on Gustavo Mejía Ricart Avenue, Piantini Tower, suite 1A-2A. “Diluvios Íntimos” is comprised of eleven pieces of artwork made in mixed media and technique and is dedicated, for the most part, to the existential questions and conflicts of the human race, based fundamentally in large universal constants: subsistence, happiness, anguish, pain, love and hate, life and death and, above all, the idea of interior travel; a path between birth and death. This exhibition will be open to the public until July 21, 2012 at the Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery located on Gustavo Mejía Ricart Avenue, Piantini Tower, suite 1A-2A. A well-known artist of Cuban descent, Carlos Estévez interprets everything that happens around him, in the world of objects as well as culture, through the prism of spirituality and reflection on existence. Pieces by this artist’s are part of permanent collections on display in: National Palace Fine Arts Museum, Havana, Cuba; the Bronx Museum in New York; the Museum of Fine Art, Boston; Arizona State University Art Museum, Arizona; the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach, California, among others. .
